Topics Covered in This Episode
In the October 2025 episode of the Journey of the Master Podcast, Sara Landon — channel of The Council — invites you to stop and recognize the truth of where you are: you are on a magnificent journey. Not a race to a finish line. Not a punishment for getting it wrong. A sacred path of remembering and becoming who you already are.
This month’s theme is an invitation to love the journey itself — to treat every moment, every experience, and every breath as part of embodying deeper levels of your own love, light, and truth. If you have been rushing toward the next milestone, judging the hard seasons, or forgetting how far you have come, this episode is a return home to you.
The Journey of Remembering Who You Are
Sara opens with the heart of the teaching: the journey always and only leads one place — back to you. Deeper into your own love. Deeper into your own light. Deeper into your own truth. You are not becoming someone else. You are becoming more and more of who you already are.
You are everything you wish to be. You already are. Yet you’re on this magnificent journey of discovery and potential and possibility, and all roads lead back to you.
She reminds listeners that you are not only a human having a human experience. You are an eternal being — soul, higher self, spirit — focused into the human experience during what she calls the great awakening: the greatest transformation of human consciousness that has ever occurred. Your soul chose this chapter. And everything the soul explores leads back to Source — and to the Source that you are.
Awakening often begins, Sara says, when something that defined you falls away: a relationship ends, a loved one transitions, a health scare arrives, a job or business dissolves, a meaningful role disappears. When the identity props fall, the question rises: Who am I? That question is not a crisis of failure. It is the doorway into a whole new level of experiencing yourself and this magnificent journey.
Looking back on her own awakening — and on thousands of students worldwide — Sara reframes the story many people tell: your life is not falling apart. Your life is falling into place so you can consciously and intentionally walk the path you came here for.
Every Moment as Sacred Embodiment
A quote Sara loves frames the month: when you love the journey, it is no longer about getting anywhere or how long it takes to get there. It is about the love, joy, beauty, miracles, and magic you experience along the way. And there is one essential remembrance on that path:
Everything is always happening for you to bring you into new levels of your power.
That includes the dark night of the soul. Sara shares her own: when everything that defined her left her experience after she left a corporate career to live her purpose, she judged herself harshly. Who was she to think she had a greater calling? The dark night, she teaches, lasts as long as you keep denying love for yourself. The moment you realize it was not falling apart but falling into place — that a greater awareness in you has always been guiding you — the journey shifts.
Awakening is only one part. The richer chapter begins as you move from awakening into realization: integrating every part of you, returning to wholeness, and discovering that you can choose and create the life you really want. Realization opens into what Sara calls the eternal celebration of all that you are — realizing you are your purpose, your life is your platform, and you are here to embody spiritual roles in this great awakening. Explore those roles more deeply in Sara’s books and courses.
Sara’s Story That Reframes Purpose
One of Sara’s favorite stories — inspired by Buckminster Fuller and retold in her own words — reframes purpose through the honeybee. From the bee’s perspective, purpose looks simple: leave the hive, pursue nectar at the flower, return, make honey. Humans, she says, often live the same script: go to the job, get the money, come home, repeat — believing that is the whole point.
But the bee complains about the yellow pollen stuck to its wings and legs. It thinks the pollen is an inconvenience to the “real” job of gathering nectar. What is actually happening, 90 degrees from what the bee thinks its purpose is, is pollination — the gift that sustains the earth. We might survive without honey. We cannot live without bees.
Maybe the really important part, the magical part, is happening 90 degrees from where you think you’re going or what you think you’re supposed to be doing.
Sara’s human translation: your “pollen” is the love you sprinkle, the light you shine, the wisdom and consciousness and truth you bring as you go about what you think you are supposed to do. You are pollinating your world. That is why she returns again and again to two lines that anchor the episode: you are your purpose, and your life is your platform.
She also marks anniversaries of “seemingly normal days” when one meeting changed her life forever — proof that while you pursue a goal in one direction, magic often arrives just off to the side. Stay open to the pivot. The journey continues even after wildest dreams come true; there is no final arrival, only deeper becoming.
Love, Light, and Truth as Lived Frequency
Students often tell Sara that experiencing the wisdom of The Council feels like coming home to the truth within them. In this episode she does not deliver a long channeled Council discourse; she teaches from that living frequency — whatever path you explore, it leads back to you.
Love, light, and truth are not abstract ideals here. They are how you walk: the consciousness you bring to ordinary days, the story you tell about your past, the willingness to shift from disappointment to fulfillment. Sara revisits a childhood story — her parents’ divorce and a move away from her father and community — that once drove a lifetime of control and achievement so nothing precious could be taken again. The breakthrough came when she chose a new perspective: that chapter was part of becoming who she is, including spiritual influence from her aunt and a precious one-on-one relationship with her dad. When disappointment became purpose and fulfillment, her life rose to a new level.
That is lived frequency: not denying what happened, but allowing every road to lead home to self-love, wholeness, and the recognition that there is a divine plan — and that everything is always leading you back to you.
How to Walk the Magnificent Journey Daily
Sara offers practical ways to live the teaching, grounded in her own creative journey — including years of holding the vision of a Hay House bestseller before The Wisdom of The Council arrived, then watching more books unfold, including The 11 Spiritual Roles of the Soul.
1. Align with already realized. The most important key to creating, choosing, manifesting, or true creation is to fully align with your desire and feel it as already realized here and now. If you have never experienced it, ask: Why is this so important to me? The why guides you into the feeling of fulfillment — whether the desire is authorship, homeownership, or partnership with the love of your life.
2. Then enjoy the journey. Once aligned, release obsession with how and when. It will be that, or something even better — often the 90-degree gift you could not have planned. When dreams feel big, your job is to get ready: let unworthiness or “impossible” stories come to the light without judgment, and live as someone who has already realized the desire.
Becoming the person that you desire to be… wasn’t about becoming anything. It was about letting go of everything that kept you from being all that you already are.
3. Slow down and look how far you have come. We fixate on what still needs doing. Sara invites a turn: look around. Look at relationships that have evolved. Look for the gifts — then let yourself receive them. A student who dreamed of funding awakening retreats received an unexpected donation; the hardest part was receiving. Practice: what if what you want most arrived today — could you open and receive it?
4. Remember people are the magic. For Sara, life-changing days are almost always about people — opportunities, relationships, introductions. Loving the journey means not missing what is presenting beside the goal you are chasing.
